Michael Torian

A native of Louisiana, Michael Torian discovered photography in the summer of 1975 at the age of 15. He bought a used 35 mm camera that June and took a basic photography course from a local camera store. By the end of August he had a darkroom, a box full of his initial photographs and a new found love for photography. While practicing law in New Orleans, he contacted an art gallery about exhibiting his work. Since that first show, Michael has participated in many exhibitions, won awards and has been profiled by WYES-TV (PBS) in New Orleans. His photographs are in many private and corporate collections. Mr. Torian has been a resident of Tennessee since 1993 where he is pursuing another one of his passions, songwriting.
