Tuesday, February 10. Peageant: "The Aztecs and Their Conquest By Cortez". The History and customs of the ancient inhabitants of Mexico and their subjugation was displayed by 16 floats. Ball - Grand Opera House(Varieties Theatre).

Tuesday, February 21. Pageant: "The World's Worships". Marking the 25th Anniversary for Comus. Each Bell Has a slight drawing representing previous year. Various religious ceremonies and rites were shown in a parade of 20 floats. Ball - French Opera House. This year began The first formal visit of Rex and his Queen to Comus,who had no Queen, which would Established a tradition for future years.

Tuesday, February 14. Pageant: "Josephus". Famous episodes from the brilliant story of the great historian were presented by glamerous maskers. Ball French Opera House. Queen: Robbie Griffen. The Low temperatures on Mardi Gras day 1899 did not prevent Comus from leading his pageant through snow and ice covered streets.

Tuesday, February 12, Pageant: "Tenyson". Comus led a procession of the greatest poems of the English Poet Laureate which were interpreted in this beautiful and inspiring parade. Ball - French Opera House.Queen: Adele Penrose.

Tuesday, February 18. Pageant: "Elfland". Proteus rode undulating waves at the head of a weird procession of mischievous sprites. Ball French Opera House. Queen: Emma Joubert. After 4 years changing from Monday to Tuesday night Comus Returns to Mardi Gras.
Comus would collide with Proteus to claim it's rights to to Mardi Gras Night. In 1892 Proteus would courteously revert to Monday Night.
